History

Since opening our first retail location in 1992, Aggieland Outfitters has taken great pride in providing unique, high-quality Aggie apparel and gifts for our Aggie Family.

What is today’s Aggieland Outfitters all began with a young Aggie's struggle to support himself through school in the late 1980’s.  Fadi Kalaouze '91, soon found that he could design and sell t-shirts to Aggie fans on campus and thus began what has grown into one of the most successful retail businesses right here in Aggieland.  In 1992, he and his wife, Hege (fellow Aggie, class of '90) opened an Aggie t-shirt store in Post Oak Mall in College Station called Inspirations - a store that served as THE Aggie t-shirt store in Aggieland for more than two decades.

Eager to grow their business, and with a hunch that there might be a need for an Aggie specialty gifts and apparel store catering to those who love Texas A&M, the couple opened their first Aggieland Outfitters store at Post Oak Mall in College Station in 2000.  The first location was a huge success and was soon followed by an online store.  A second retail location opened in 2002 on George Bush Drive in an area of Aggieland affectionately known to Aggies as “Southgate”.

Amidst Texas A&M's historic transition into the Southeastern Conference, the business was prosperous, allowing the company to launch its third location on University Drive in 2010.  This location currently boasts the "Largest Aggie Flag in The World," and is now known as the flagship store, with more than 8,000 sq. ft. of the greatest Aggie shopping experience on Earth!
